There are currently about 60 members of the Shed, and each week they work on one or more of the following activities:

  • member’s personal projects;
  • repairing large or small items for community members and organisations;
  • designing and making individual small commissions for community members;
  • making items for sale to raise funds for the shed;
  • educational programs and activities for children and senior students and;
  • “Home Help for Seniors” – a program of home repairs and support for older members of the community.

The Men's Shed Story
The shed holds an important place in the Australian culture. It can be a reservoir of memories, experiences, a space to share skills and to socialize.
We've all read reports which tell us that good health is based on many factors, including self esteem, feeling productive and valuable to society, having social relationships and being active.
Many retired people downsize their living arrangements, often resulting in the man's personal space, his garden shed or workshop being lost.
A Men's Shed is a workshop space where men can come together to share tools and machinery, spend time with others with similar interests and learn new skills, while contributing to their community.

The Berry Men's Shed
Our Shed has been set up to meet the above needs and to provide a substitute space for the 'shed-less' men & women of the area.
The Berry Men's Shed is special in that it teaches skills to it's members for the benefit of the community as well as the individual. Members gain a sense of identity and self worth.
Everyone is welcome. There is no membership fee. A gold coin donation for each day you attend is all that is asked.
